Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics, English Language and three (3) other Science subjects.
JAMB UTME subject combination requirements to study Software Engineering in Nigerian universities
JAMB UTME subjects are the subjects which you must write in the JAMB Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The UTME subject combination requirement for Software Engineering is as follows:
Maths, Economics and any one of Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Geography.
Direct Entry requirements to study Software Engineering in Nigerian universities
‘A’ Level passes ND/NCE at Credit/merit levels and HND lower credit in relevant programmes into 200 and 300 levels.
Special considerations for Direct Entry
(i) AUN accepts:
a) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Biology, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Civics, and French.
b) ND/HND
c) ICGS ‘A’ Level Cambridge
AUN does not offer admissions to 200 level programmes and may transfer credits relevant to its major at the discretion of the Dean of school.
Special considerations for UTME
(i) AUN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) subjects from the following with emphasis on the ranking order: Physics; Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Biology, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Civics, and French. It does not accept credit passes in the following; Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics, Home Craft, Home management, Physical Education, Physical and Health Education, Music, Commerce, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Book keeping, Islamic History, Islamic Studies, Tajweed, Library Studies, Diction, Kiswahili, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Arabic, Turkish, Study skills.
Special considerations for UTME SUBJECTS
(i) AUN requires Mathematics, plus any other subjects from Physics; Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Biology, Literature in English, Government, History, Economics, Geography, Technical Drawing, Visual Arts, Civics, and French.
