UTME / O’ level subject requirements to study Radiography in Nigerian universities

The UTME / O’ level subject requirements to study Radiography in Nigerian universities are as follows:

Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

JAMB UTME subject combination requirements to study Radiography in Nigerian universities

JAMB UTME subjects are the subjects which you must write in the JAMB Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The UTME subject combination requirement for Radiography is as follows:

Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Direct Entry requirements to study Radiography in Nigerian universities

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Special considerations for Direct Entry and UTME

(i) BOWEN requires ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry, Physics and any other Science subject.
(ii) CALABAR accepts:
a) ‘A’ Level passes in any two (2) of Chemistry, Biology and Physics plus the UTME requirements
b) accepts B.SC in Physical or Biological sciences plus the UTME requirements.
(iii) MAIDUGURI accepts DIR/DCR registered with radiographers Board of Nigeria plus the UTME requirements.
(iv) UNIZIK requires ‘A’ Level pass in Physics. Accepts London International Baccalaureate.

Special considerations for Direct Entry

(i) LAGOS accepts passes in three (3) JUPEB/‘A’ level subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
(ii) UNN – No direct entry.
(iii) ABU accepts A’ Level/IJMB Passes in three subjects in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Zoology. Registered X-ray/Imaging Processing Technician.

Special considerations for UTME

(i) UNN – As in Medical Laboratory Science.

(ii) LAGOS requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(iii) ABU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Special considerations for UTME subjects

(i) UNN – As in Medical Laboratory Science.

(ii) LAGOS requires English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(iii) ABU requires Use of English, Physics ,Chemistry and Biology.

ABU, BAYERO, BENIN, BSU, CALABAR, CCU, FED-DUTSINMA, FED-LAFIA, FED-OYE EKITI, FUHSA, FUTO, KASU, KIRU, LAGOS, LCITY, MAIDUGURI, NOK, PAMO, SUMAS, UDU, UNIZIK, UNIOSUN and UNN.

The following universities offer the course as RADIOGRAPHY AND RADIATION SCIENCE with same requirements as in Radiography above:

AJAYI, BAZE, BINGHAM, DANUMS, EVANGEL, GREGORY, OSUMS and UYO.

TANSIAN offers the course as RADIOGRAPHY AND MEDICAL IMAGING with the same requirements as Radiography above.

FUHS-ILA offers the course as AUDIOLOGY with also the same requirements as Radiography .
